  2. some respocebilities of living in a democracy is voting weater it is voting for town board county legislator or even the presedent if you dont take part in voting then dont complane of who gets elected becasue you have the responcebility. also you have to pay taxes.
takes on your house how much money you own and even school if you dont do this then you are not only hurting yourself but the people and orginizations that need this money.

  3. A democracy is a government pretty much run by the people of the town, city, state, county, or any other society . to be a citizen you have to live where you are going to be a citizen.citizens can have many responsibilities like if you live in a house you have to pay taxes on the house. you will need to get a job to be able to eat and support yourself.

  4. democracy is the ruling of a civilization by citizens. to be a citizen you have to be of 18 years old, and you either have to be born in the united states or have parents born in the U.S. There are many responsibilities for a citizen, you have to vote when there is a disagreement or like what extreme9 said voting for legislater and president.

  5. I partly agree with Icecoffe2 and extreme9 because a democracy is when the people have a vote or "say" in the way the government is run. Their are two types of government that we went over in class: a direct democracy-when a small group of citizens that vote in their individual issues. and then there is representitave democracy- when the people vote for reps to take the issues in their hands and they represent the peoples desision.

  6. To be a citizen it means you are legally allowed and have rights and privlages to vote or participate in your city or town activities.
some responsibilities of citizens living in a democracy is they have the wish to vote and not take advantage of it, respect others votes and canidates, and also make sure you're not just voting because itsthe last second and you need to choose someone. make sure your voting to tell others that they can fufill the tasks

  14. In the USA, anybody who was born in the U.S. or who's parents are citizens or whoever takes a citizenship test can be a U.S citizen. In old Greece times, in order to be a citizen, you had to be a male. Females had very little rights in these tmes, and were not considered citizens.

  15. I agree with panda_lover when they said citizens have the wish to vote and not take advantage of it. You should not vote because of the cool advertisements a candidate shows or tells or if your friends like a certain guy or not. You should vote because of what you think is right or what you think is the right choice. A democracy is a government ran by the citizens and you should respect the fact that the whole fate of the country just might be based upon your vote.

you have to do jury duty
you will have the chance to vote but you dont have to.
dont abuse rights like freedom of speech.

  27. Also agreeing with Icecoffe2's last comment, the citizens that rule the democracy have a big power in the rest of the civilizations life. The other citizrns should respect the judgement and go on with their lives or they might cause the whole civilization to suffer. That is one of the responsabilities of the citizens.
